Come to Peabody’s oldest cemetery to learn about some of the people who lived during the American Revolution.

Speakers

Tyler Agenta will be facilitating the walking tour. A local history buff, Tyler has experience as a museum docent at Real Pirates Salem museum and volunteered at the Saugus Iron Works National Historic Site. Currently, Tyler is an exhibition intern at the Peabody Historical Society. He is assisting with the exhibit, Remembering the Revolution, to open in July 2026. 

 

 

Schedule

Please meet at the entrance of the Old South Burying Ground at 11am, when the tour will begin.

Plan to arrive early to allow time to find parking in the area. No designated parking is available.

Dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes! This event does not provide seating and will last for 1.5 hours.

In partnership with the Peabody Institute Library, this program provides a walking tour of the Old South Burying Ground where many of Peabody’s Revolutionary War soldiers and their families are buried. Join us to take a walk into the past!
